Russell Westbrook still positive after 4th straight loss:

With Lonzo Ball out of the game it should have been at least a fair fight between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunders but results proved otherwise with the Thunders going into their 4th consecutive loss 108-104 on Sunday which has cast a shroud of uncertainty on the whole OKC Thunders team as a whole. On being asked about the outcome of the match Russell Westbrook came up with a positive reply saying that he embraces the struggle. He feels that to overcome adversity the team has to work extra hard on themselves and he hopes that this will provide the opportunity to bring the team together. Westbrook finished with 36 points for himself on the board and nine assists but a weak three point defense undid everything for the Thunders. The loss to Lakers comes at a time after the Thunder’s eight game win streak was broken in Washington followed by a memorable loss to the Nuggets and then a loss to the Pelicans.

Lagerald Vick’s slump has Bill Self baffled:

After an embarrassing 84-79 defeat of the no.7 ranked Jayhawks against 12 point underdogs Oklahoma State Bill Self speaking at a press conference was asked about the performance of his junior guard Lagerald Vick who is at the moment going through one of the worst slumps of his career. Vick finished with an unimpressive 5 points and 3 rebounds in the 34 minute game against the Cowboys. Over the last 10 games he has been down in the dumps averaging 7.2 points and 3.9 rebounds. Bill Self who has this uncanny ability to turn a simple question into huge eloquent answers for once was stumped on being enquired about Vick and came up with a pitiful “I have no idea”. The coach of 15 years was visibly frustrated with the 6 foot 5 inches guard out of Memphis, Tennessee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo twists ankle against Nets:

Milwaukee Bucks star player Giannis Antetokounmpo on his way to Sunday’s 109-94 win over the Brooklyn Nets ended up injuring himself with a twisted right ankle and did not return to the court. Antetokounmpo does not think that the injury is serious enough to make him miss match time though. On being asked about the injury he responded by saying that he has twisted his ankle a couple of times in the last few games but has trucked through them and he will do it agains since he believes that the Bucks have a great medical team and they can bring him up to speed in no time. The accident occurred with 7:34 minutes left on the clock when Giannis Antetokounmpo got tangled up with Nets swingman DeMarre Carroll.
