Kawhi Leonard still out with injury as Spurs falter

San Antonia Spurs All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard is in all probability out for the season. The 2014 NBA Finals MVP has been struggling with a tendinopathy in his right quadriceps which sprung up during the off season. And now it seems like he will not be back by the time the Spurs go into the playoffs. Shams Charania Of Yahoo Sports reported that Kawhi Leonard was in New York with his own team of doctors treating his condition. The Spurs though have been having a tough time without him on the court with them crumbling to a 113-92 defeat against the Golden State Warriors in game 1 of the first-round series on Saturday. Leonard has only been present in 9 of all the Spurs games this season and though he had made a return briefly to the teamsline-up had not played a match complaining of soreness in his thighs since the Spurs win over Denver on Jan 13th.

Golden State Warriors route San Antonio Spurs without Curry

At this point of time Stephen Curry might not be the most important player on the Golden State Warriors roster anymore. Stephen Curry has been out with a knee injury but that has not in the least unnerved the Warriors in anyway. They have clung to the first spot and almost convincingly. The latest of their display of power came on Saturday when the routed a Kawhi Leonard missing San Antonio Spurs team 113-92. Klay Thompson scored an impressive 27 points which included 5 out of 6 attempted 3 pointers. They also updated that Stephen Curry was making good progress with his left knee sprain injury and that he will start working more on his rehabilitation program. Curry missed out on the last 10 regular season matches of the Warriors after the 23rd March setback. But no matter the adversities faced the Warriors have powered through and looks set to contest their 3rdtitle in four seasons and the fourth consecutive place in the NBA finals.

Miami Heat stumbles to an opening round defeat in NBA playoffs

The Miami Heats were not prepared for the fiasco that occurred on Saturday night during their first game of the NBA playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers. The game was evenly poised with points being scored by both teams in succession uptill the half way point. The second half was a complete blowout where the Miami Heats were left stunned by a clinical Philadelphia 76ers sie who outscored Miami by 31 points to take the game 130-103. It was a complete blowout and the Miami players were stunned by the results. The Heats if they want to qualify for the next round needs to improve miles before even thinking about taking on the red hot 76ers.
